A little about me…
From 1998 to 2008 I lived and worked in London as a freelance photographer mostly working in the music industry. I was fortunate enough to spend much of my 20s and 30s doing a job I loved in an amazing city at a fantastically creative time.
After I graduated I spent 2 and a half years assisting Rankin at Dazed&Confused magazine during the formative East London / Old Street years where I got to travel the world and meet and work with great cultural figures from the arts, music, film and literature.
Some of the people I met and photographed include; Air, Ian Brown, Primal Scream, David Thewliss, Alex Garland, Muse, Terry Gilliam, Ronnie Barker, Michael Stipe, Basement Jaxx, The Dandy Warhols, System of a down, Badly Drawn Boy, Tricky, Dizzie Rascal, Baxter Dury, Richard Ashcroft, Doves, Kings of Leon, PJ O’Rourke, Malcolm McLaren, Jarvis Cocker, Damon Albarn, Brian Eno, Will Oldham, Elliot Smith and John Peel.
I have a large archive of work from that period, literally thousands of images, much of which has never been seen or published before and now that a few years have passed since I hung up my RZ I’m ready to re-asses my work and collect it all together in one volume that reflects the time and the place.
I’m looking to raise funding to help get my negatives scanned, retouched and have a beautiful book made which really shows off the work to it’s full.
